2. What’s your major? What year will you graduate?
-My major is Finance, and i will graduate 2016.
3. Why did you choose a photography class (or photography as a major), and what do you hope to learn from school in general and this class specifically?
-I was interested in photography and taking a picture, but i do not have any ability to do, so I want to learn how to take picture and Photoshop.
4. What are your goals after graduation? Please list your goals in reverse order, starting five years out, then three, two, one, and six months.
-Actually after graduate i have to go korea army during like 2 years, so I can not get some jobs during this times. But after finish army, I want to work in bank. And in the future i want open my own coffee shop this is my dream.
5. What artists, musicians, photographers, writers, movies, books have influenced you/your work?
-I like david hockney's phtography, and i was trying to make a photo like him, but i couldn't do this well. Hes photos are so wonderful.
6. Where do you get information about current national and international events?
-Typically I am getting some information through news especially internet news.
7. Are there any important websites that you are referencing for art/photo competitions and/or information?
-I don't know the website that i am referencing for art or photo, but i would like to find some website, and I will try to find a nice website.
8. What museums and/or galleries have you been to in the past year?
-Actually I have been museums or galleries like 3 years ago, their is Vincent van Gogh's masterpieces, and these were so nice.
9. Have you had any photo projects and/ or training in the past?
-Yes i was taking other photo class in last semester, but as i said, i do not have any abilities, so I am retaking class and I hope I can learn about photo well.
10. What is the value of art for the artist?
-Absolutely important.
11. What is the value of art for the audience?
-I think art is only way to communicate with artist in audience cases.
12. Is photography a vocation or an avocation?
-For someone, photography is a job, so in their side, photography is a vocation, but in a ordinary people side, it is just an avocation thing.
13. What is your passion?
-I really want to take a photo well, I visited New York in winter break and my friend is living there, he took a photos for me, and these photos were so nice. I will do my best for learning.
14.What are you afraid of? What makes you uncomfortable?
-I think English is my only problem, I am Korean, I do not speak English well I am worry about this, I really want to communicate with my classmates, but it is really hard to me.
15. Do you have a passport?
-Yes i have, as you know i am from South Korea.
16. Why did you sign up for this class? What do you hope to learn from it?
-As i Said, I want to learn what is photography, how to take a picture and furthermore how to do photoshop.
